Verbal Learning Test

Part of the Thomas D. Stoker Cognitive Test Battery

This test has three stages and takes around 15 minutes including the delay.

  1. Audio test: Confirm your audio is working before you start.
  2. Learning trials (x5): 20 words will be read aloud one at a time. After each reading, recall as many as you can. Repeat 5 times.
  3. Delayed recall: Exactly 5 minutes after your last learning trial, recall as many words as you can.
  4. Recognition: Tick every word you believe was in the list from a mixed set of 40 words.
Audio notice: This test reads the word list aloud. Make sure your sound is turned on and your volume is at a comfortable level. The audio test below will confirm everything is working. If audio is unavailable in your browser, the test will switch to a timed visual display automatically. For best results use Chrome or Edge.
